The Camp Kinser dragon boat team finishes the final portion of their race July 20 in Urasoe City, Okinawa. The race is part of a three-day annual festival called "Tedako Matsuri." The event is named in honor of Urasoe's first king, Eiso, who was believed to be the "tedako," which means "child of the sun" in the Okinawan dialect. ( Marine Corps photo by Lance Cpl.
