Bird sculptures adorn the Holodomor Genocide memorial in Kyiv (Kiev) Ukraine. The National Museum of the Holodomor-Genocide is a centre devoted to the victims of the Holodomor (famine) of 1932-1933 and opened in 2008. In February 2022 Russia staged a massive and violent unprovoked military invasion of peaceful Ukraine. Photo taken July 2013.
