John Siebenthaler, of the Sieben- thaler Nursery, reports an exceptionally good season on shrubbery this spring. The Miami Floral Co. has a fine lot of Boston and Eoosevelt ferns, which are bringing good returns. R. A. L. NASHVILLE, TENN. The Market. Three weeks have made a great change here. From freezing weather we have come to real summer and there has been a rush on bedding plants, etc. Everyone wants plants at once and those who cater to this trade have been work- ing almost day and night. Prices are averaging a little better for plants than heretofore, or rather, the demand is for a higher grade of plant. The peony crop will be short again this season, as the last freeze got most of the early varieties. Even iris is not blooming well in some localities. Iris sells well here, though not at high prices. Spanish iris sells unusually well. The supply of the usual cut flowers is about as it was when last reported, save that the quality of carnations is not nearly so good and violets are about gone.
