WASHINGTON - A farewell ceremony was held for Deputy Secretary of Homeland Security Alejandro Mayorkas, which included remarks delivered by several members of President Obama’s Administration and DHS Component leaders, Oct. 24, 2016. Deputy Secretary Mayorkas was sworn in as Deputy Secretary of DHS on Dec. 23, 2013, and prior to becoming the Deputy Secretary of DHS, Mayorkas served as the Director of the Department’s Citizenship and Immigration Services.
