The colony of burrowing parrots in Balneario El Condor Patagonia Argentina is the largest in the world. Masello & Quillfeldt estimate that it has 6750 active nests along the 9 km long, 20 m high, sandstone cliff facing the Atlantic. The first pairs of breeding birds usually arrive in September and the eggs are laid in October.
