Kernels lustrous yellow, medium-narrow and deep, with tender hull; sweet and of excel- lent quality. Highly resistant to Stewart's disease. This variety is sometimes spoken of as Bantam Evergreen Hybrid but is quite distinct from any other of that name. Haber of Iowa State College, com- mercially developed and entered by us in the All-America Selections trials for 1939 when it was awarded a Bronze Medal. An attractive and productive variety, highly resistant to wilt. Plants tall and sturdy, with broad and numerous leaves. Ears 7y2'-8' long, V/s' diameter, 12-14 rowed, cylindrical; well filled with medium-narrow, light yellow kernels. 87 â NARROW GRAIN HYBRID 26 x 15 (w) 8 An exclusive product of Asgrow inbred lines. Very uniform and highly desirable for canning and freezing. Stalk sturdy, upright with no suckers; leaves wide, dark green. Ears 2' diameter, uniformly tapered, with 18-22 rows. Kernels nar- row, deep, tender. 98 â Suitable for quick freezing.
