For each of these di- visions a large sheet is made out at the store, which is divided into eight columns. Any order going to a street in district No. 1 is placed on No. 1 card, and so on. Taking the columns from the left of the sheet to the right, we find the following information: A Sheet for Each District. Column No. 1 contains the name and address of the person who ordered the stock. Column No. 2 has the name and ad- dress of the party to whom the stock is being sent. Column No. 3 tells the date at which the stock is to be delivered. Column No. 4 gives a description of the article, whether plant, corsage, or what. Column No. .5 tells whether or not it is paid for, to be charged, or sent C. O. D. Column No. fi gives the initials of the person in the store who filled the order. Column No. 7 gives a description of the contents of the card to be enclosed. Column No. 8 contains any particu- lars about the order that are of a spe- cial nature. It is to be understood that at the store there is a sheet like that de- scribed above for each and every one of the four districts. In this way an inquiry from anyone concerning any order can be found in a moment by the dealer, who has all the information before him. For instance, if Mr. Jones, who has placed an order for district No. 3, telephones the store to make an addition to the order, the person at the store who answers the telephone has merely to glance at the sheet for that particular district, and a glance will locate the name of the party in the first column.
