Village disappeared in sand storm in eighteenth century .All that now remains is the walls colonised by limestone loving plants including Ladies Bedstraw ( yellow). This village was the main community on the Borve in the 18th century, until it was obliterated by the sand storm .A very good example of a Disappeared Medieval Village -now has oystercatchers and Dunlin nesting amongst it !
