The English expedition, aided by the disgruntled natives, occupied the port of Arksis, but were interrupted while disembarking supplies and ammunition by the Jerifian steamer "Al-Hassani". British opened fire from their steamer "Tourmaline" to prevent the capture of one of their boats, but one boat was captured before it could reach the "Tourmaline".
