The three summer- flowering bulbs named below are similar in habit, and their culture is of the easiest. It is only necessary to plant them in good ordinary soil. Milla biflora (Float- ing Star). The flow- ers are in pairs, of a pure waxy white, nearly two and a half inches in diameter ; the petals are thick and leathery, of great substance, and will keep for days when cut and placed in water. The foliage is slender, rush-leaved, and very attractive in appearance. 10 cts. each, 3 for 25 cts., 12 for $1. Bessera elegans. It blooms quickly and continues until frost. -The flower stems are from one to two feet high, supporting a dozen or more bell-shaped flowers of a bright coral-scarlet, with white cups and dark blue anthers. 10 cts. each, 3 for 25 cts., 7 for 50 cts.
