On the lodge being closed and reopened in a lower degree, a levée was held for the presentation of mason visitors. At three o clock in the afternoon a banquet took place in the Corn Exchange, presided over by the Duke of Newcastle, supported by the Earl of Zetland, and a number of distinguished visitors from the most distant parts of the country'.
