Sperm whale tissue analysis. Magnified monitor view of a parasitic flatworm (Phyllobothrium delphini) found within a sperm whale (Physeter macrocephalus). The tissue sample came from a dead male sperm whale that was found on Henne Strand, Jutland, Denmark. The specimen measured 14 meters in length and weighed an estimated 30 tonnes. Photographed at the National Veterinary Institute in Copenhagen.
