Genus Platyoropha Haughton and Boonstra. Platyoropha broomi Haughton and Boonstra. Pelvis (text-fig. 30).—The pelvis is large and its constituent bones massive. It is broad and high. In anterior view the inner edge is U-shaped. With the sacral ribs in position it is oval. Sacrum.—Four vertebrae are concerned in its attachment, of which the three posterior ones have their centra coalesced. The sacral ribs are strong—the second being the strongest. The first is only slightly weaker than the second. The third and fourth are moderate.
