German Crown Prince. A Tariety which is described in European catalogues as a bronze-leaved fonn of Goliath, but which in our estimation, is much superior to and entirely dis- tinct from that variety in the fact that its petals are not crimped on the edges, but are smooth, heavj- and well-rounded. In color it is a dark cherrj'-red, of a rich and pleasing shade, with dark bronzy fohage, and of robust, but dwarf compact habit, growing about 3 j^ feet high. § each. Mrs. Qeorge A. Strohlein. A variet}' of special merit, with extra large bright amaranth red flowers which are raised well above the fohage in strong, heavy many-flowered trusses. The plant grows about 5 feet high with large bronzy purple fohage. It is entirely distract from all others, possesses all the qualities of a good bedding variety, and will, no doubt, become one of our standard sorts. each. Mrs. W. F.~ Dreer. A desirable addition to the yellow spotted section, the flowers, which are of immense size with very broad, well-rotmded petals, are of a rich, pm-e j-ellow, with numerous small red spots.
