St Alphage High Walk now demolished but at one time allowed pedestrians to avoid traffic along London wall and Barbican
St Alphage High Walk was part of a 1960s town planning scheme to separate pedestrians from traffic in and around London Wall, Moorgate and the Barbican Centre. This part of the scheme was demolished in October 2013 to make way for a complete redevelopment of the London Wall site at its eastern end. Part of the High Walk still exist in other areas in and around London Wall and the Barbican.
