Lloyd's of London, One Lime Street, London, UK. Corner of Lloyd's of London, the British insurance company. This building was designed by the British architect Richard Rogers and built between 1979 and 1984. The building is 95 metres high and is composed of several towers. It is built around a steel frame with a glass curtain wall. It was designed 'inside-out' to provide easy access to service areas and equipment. However, within 18 months of being built, corosion had started to appear and £12,000,000 was spent on repairs. Photographed in January 2002.
