Amy Bauernschmidt, commanding officer of the Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln (CVN 72), throws the first pitch on the Petco Park baseball field before the start of a San Diego Padres game against the Washington Nationals. Abraham Lincoln is currently moored pier side Naval Station North Island in support of routine operations.
