This small, land-Tortoise had the general form of the ffinys, and was much depressed. It was found in the Mauvaises Terres of Nebraska (Lower Miocene), and is the Museum of the Academy of Natural Sci- ences, Philadelphia. Size, 6x4. Price, $ No. 281. Testudo hemispherica, Leidy. Carapace and Plastron* The Carapace is more convex than that of the preceding,and the vertebral plates from the second to the eighth inclu- sive, are hexahedral.
