Well known bulbous rooted plants, with beautiful varie- gated foliage in different shades of green. The seed should be sown in spring, and by autumn will produce bulbs which will blossom tbe follow- ing winter. Mixed, pkt 4c. CALCEOLARIA, (Hybrida.) A favorite and universally admired plant, remarkable for its large beautifully spotted blossoms, which are very showy, and from which an almost countless number of hybrids have been raised. A beantiful and rapid grow- ing climber, bearing an im- mense number of pure white bell-shaped fragrant flowers, and derives its name from the fact that various insects in suckinpr honey of its blossoms are caught fast and securely held until they are dead. It thrives best in light soil. If it is started early In the house it will bloom all summer. From fifteen to twenty feet high. Pkt. 5c.
