This consists of a box 6 x 20 inches, withthe top narrower than the bottom, thusmaking the sides sloping. Two sets of blocksare fastened on these sloping slides. It isnot necessary to have these blocks slide upand down, since the foundation sits nearlyperpendicular. This box has a 1-inch holebored in the center of the bottom and pivotson a peg fastened in the center of a board12 by 24 inches. The illustration printed below does notshow the pivoting Mr. Williams revolving foundation-fastener. To operate, place the apparatus in thecenter of a small table. Pile the sheets offoundation on top of the box. Take a chairat one side of table, with a stove for yourhot-plate paddles at your right. Give your assistant a seat on the oppo-site side of the table with a box of sections,empty section-holders and supers assistant folds four sections, placesthem over the blocks and then slips a holderover them. Now swing the box around sothese sections are on your side, drop in thesheets of foundation and fasten them withthe hot metal paddles. By this time yourhelper has the opposite side of the box readywith holder and sections. Reverse the boxagain, and while your helper folds four sec-tions, the foundation cools enough for theholder of sections to be lifted off and placedin the super. Now keep busy. Dont visit anddont quarrel, and it will be necessary tocall in more help to carry away the filledsupers and bring you supplies. Attica,
