Camargue cowboys (Guardians) driving the bulls through the local villages
The Abrivado is the traditional way in which the Guardians Camargue cowboys led their bulls to the arena Eight riders form the point of a triangle in which they enclose the bulls know as the Abrivado They then make there way through the streets of the village where the crowd try to distract the horses with streamers, fireworks and flour bombs in order to see if they can make the bulls escape
