Coast Guard Petty Officer 3rd Class Owen Killian and Petty Officer 3rd Class Nolan Cooney await permission to enter the Chief's Mess to combat alpha fire during a drill aboard USCGC Kimball (WMSL 756). Petty Officer 2nd Class Adrian Colon oversees the drill. The crew frequently conducts drills both underway and in port to ensure their readiness to respond to real-life emergencies. Kimball provides search-and-rescue coverage and conducts living marine resources and counter Illegal Unreported and Unregulated Fishing operations during its patrol of the Bering Sea.
