The Trajineras are an icon of the City of Mexico and right now more than trajineras exist. Its function is to take tourists for a ride. These boats are made of pine wood. They measure 15 meters in length, the beginning of this work was of commerce 400 years ago and at the moment is simply of use tourist and has conserved since it goes passing of generation to generation. The Trajineras of Xochimilco are considered cultural heritage by UNESCO (United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization).
