The Abduction of William Morgan, New York, USA, 1826 (c1880). Morgan was an American opponent of Freemasonry. After he threatened to write a book divulging Freemasonry's 'secrets', he was abducted and disappeared. His disappearance and apparent murder led to the establishment of a powerful anti-masonic movement in the United States.
