Non Exclusive: KYIV, UKRAINE - FEBRUARY 21, 2024 - Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Canada to Ukraine Natalka Cmoc attends the presentation of Mykhajlo Hrushevsky’s ten-volume English edition (12 books) of the History of Ukraine-Rus' at the Metropolitan’s Residence at the St Sophia of Kyiv National Conservation Area, Kyiv, capital of Ukraine. The Embassy of Canada in Ukraine and the Canadian Institute of Ukrainian Studies donated ten sets of Mykhajlo Hrushevsky's ten-volume edition (12 books) of the History of Ukraine-Rus’ to the Ukrainian Bookshelf project, which provides for the distribution of Ukrainian literature in the original language and its translations in the world’s leading libraries. The project was initiated before the beginning of the full-scale Russian invasion by First Lady Olena Zelenska together with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Culture and Information Policy, the Ukrainian Book Institute and Ukrainian embassies, which are engaged in passing books to libraries. The Peter Jacyk Centre for Ukrainian Historical Research at the Canadian Institute of Ukrainian Studies at the University of Alberta translated and published the English-language edition.
