Raven are have been responsible for killing lambs and ewes on farms during the lambing season in the Caithnees area. Farmers in the area are calling for a general licence from Scottish Natural Heritage (SNH) to enable them to shoot the birds which are protected under the Wildlife and Countryside Act of 1981.
