The constellation of Corona Borealis, the Northern Crown. The major stars of the constellation form a semicircle, which can be seen curving from top left down to the bottom of the picture and back up to top right. The brighest star in the constellat- ion (towards bottom right) is Alphecca, or Alpha Coronae Borealis, a blue- white 2nd magnitude star. 180mm lens, f/3. 2, K200, June 23 1987, 0700-0705 UT.
