Max Silberberg, Republican, one of the members from Hamilton county, is aGrerman by birth, and came to this country at the age of fifteen. He was. a soldierin the Civil War and after being discharged began an active business life, which hestill pursues. He was one of the organizers of the National Manufacturers Asso-ciation, which is now instrumental in the vast exportation of American products. Heis an active member of the Credit Mens Association, and a year ago when the Con-vention was held at Milwaukee was appointed chairman of the Clothing Confer-ence Committee. He also was appointed chairman of the National Legislative Com-mittee, and his report given at Cleveland received favorable comments. He is andhas been for the past twelve years President of the Business Mens Building Associa-tion and a director of the Ohio Valley Building Association.
