Andrew Jackson ( 1767 – 1845), the seventh president of the United States from 1829 to 1837 was an American lawyer, planter, army general, politician and statesman who was colloquially referred to 'Old Hickory'. He served as the 1st Federal Military Commissioner of Florida, Justice of the Tennessee Supreme of his toughness, and Jackson became known as "Old Hickory" , a term first used by soldiers under his command.
