Monopoly board game
Monopoly is the best-selling board game in the world. It sells in 103 countries and produced in 37 languages. It was created by Charles D Darrow an American who was unemployed during the great depression but he had a big idea about a board game which would give everyone a chance of tasting the high life. He approached Parker Brothers but they rejected it as it didn't meet their standards. He was not put off and made 5000 games himself by doing a deal with a local printer and then selling them via a local department store, People loved it and and Parker Brothers did a deal which made both their fortunes. It is still the worlds number 1 board game
