The standing stone circle near Duddo in North Northumberland. This neolitihic site is rarely visited. Local names of “The Women” might refer to their waists and another local name “The Singing Stones” might refer to the fluting making sounds in the wind. The walker to this Stone Circle is rewarded with fabulous views towards the Cheviots, the Lammermuir Hills and Eildons no doubt why this location was chosen by the ancients.
