Two mathematical concepts are named after him, Cramer's rule and Cramer's paradox, both to do with curves and algebraic equations. This copy of this artwork is from 'Histoire de l'Universite de Geneve' (1900) by Charles Borgeaud. The original is an oil painting by the Swiss painter Robert Gardelle (1682-1766).
