Gorilla posing while eating RARE IMAGES show of a western lowland female gorilla happily munching on a red cabbage. Residing in The Aspinall Foundation Port Lympne, Kent, this image was captured during the gorillas' feeding at Aspinall’s breeding sanctuary. The Aspinall Foundation is an internationally renowned animal conservation charity that works in partnership with Howletts and Port Lympne Wild Animal Parks in Kent, England. Environmental Science student and photographer Joanne Tully (41) took these images using her Nikon D500 camera with Nikkor 300mm F4E PF ED VR lens. “The Gorillas came to the outside area and were waiting for the food,” she said. “This female filled her arms with as much as she could hold, looking very pleased with herself. “She just looked like we all do when we have landed ourselves a bounty of goodies, and it made me smile. “Gorillas are always fascinating, and I fell for them when I saw them for the first time as a kid. “You can see their intelligence when you look them in the eye. They are critically endangered because of habitat destruction by farming and logging, disease and poaching for bush meat. “The Aspinall Foundation has released over 70 Gorillas back into the wild and are doing amazing conservation work to protect them and other endangered species.” ENDs
