Threekings built it hundreds of years ago, and they say that there aremiles of underground rooms beneath its walls. It is peopled withmany ghosts, a detachment of Garrison Artillery, and a Companyof Infantry. In its prime it held ten thousand men and filled itsditches with corpses. Another splendid building of Saracenic architecture isthe white marble tomb of Anarkali, a beautiful slave [132].
