Vaniman preached his first ser-mon in Chinese Sunday, Oct. 31, justtwo years after he landed in China. He did very well, indeed. TEN or fifteen years ago, when wehad a mission in Copenhagen,just across the sound from Mal-mo, the Swedish and Danish membersvisited each other, and especially at Dis-trict Meetings the preachers would gettogether and help each other in the workof the Lord. But contention in thechurch in Sweden caused a break in this,the strong band of brotherly love wasbroken, and the occasional visits werea thing of the past. Since Bro. Wine and family havebeen located in Denmark we have madeseveral visits to them and their work andthey have visited us. These visits arenot only encouraging to the workers butthe work in general. We learn to know each other better, and this creates amutual interest in these two fields sonear together. During the week that Brother andSister Wines and their son Ardys werewith us, Bro.
