Above chart shows comparative rates of engine wearwith high grade Eastern and Western oils, and withTRITON —as indicated by extensive engine wear tests. At left is Prof. R. Shown by laboratory tests and 60,000-mile, 60-day stock car road run T TNDER identical conditions of speed and*-^ temperature an automobile engine wasrun in a series of 1,000 mile tests with high-grade Eastern and Western oils, andTriton. After each 1,000 mile period, the oil wasdrained from the crankcase and scientificallyanalyzed to determine its iron content. The analyses of the various oils showedthat Triton reduced engine wear from 22 to 43%—depending on the oil used—22% in the caseof the Eastern oil and 43% in the case of theWestern oil. The results of these wear tests were backedup by cylinder measurements of a stock cardriven 60,183 miles in 60 days with Triton mo-tor oil. These measurements, made by P
