HYDROEDS FROM THE KERGUELEN AND CROZET SHELVES 37 Remarks The hydrothecae of this material are larger than those of Ralph but smallerthan those of Blanco. The details of structure and the method of branchingagree exactly with those described by Ralph. The only hesitation in the identi-fication lies in the gonotheca, which is about twice the length of that describedby Ralph and has more annulations (15-17 as against 5-8). However, theshape of the gonotheca is exactly like that depicted by Coughtrey (he does notgive the size, but the diagram shows 10 annulations).
