Late 19th Century views of Donaghadee in County Down, Northern Ireland is probably best known for its harbour, for centuries, it has been a haven for ships from at least the 17th century. The new harbour was started in 1821 by John Rennie Senior, the celebrated engineer whose works included London Bridges over the Thames.
