Jackdaw (Corvus monedula) on a fence post. This bird is found in northwest Africa, throughout Europe, Iran, northwest India and Siberia. Its main habitat is woodland, cultivated land, coastal cliffs and towns. The jackdaw will scavenge and feed on insects, seeds, grain, and fish washed up on the shore. Photographed in Gloucestershire, UK, in August.
