THE HIILSIDE riORAL SHOP. ITHACA. N. Y. WASHINaTON. Tbe Market. Owing to the hot weather, which set in the early part of last week, the mar- ket was filled with an unusually large stock of roses, and although the quality was exceptionally good, the market was 80 demoralized that there was Irat lit- tle demand for fhem' and raaay found their way to the rubbish heap. Dahlias have improved in quality and are far more plentiful than they have been. Asters are practically oflf crop here. There are more yellow and white chrys- anthemums and these are meeting with a fair demand. Carnations are a little more plentiful and of a fair quality for this season of the year, but with a marked decrease in funeral work and but few decorations, these are not much needed at present. Bayeradorfer & Co., Philadelphia; Maurice Fuld, of Knight & Struck Co., New York, and Maurice Cohen, of Wertheimer Bros., New York, visited the local trade last week.
