The station opened by Nässjö- Oskarshamn Railway, NOJ 1874. First station house was one storey in wood, it burned in a fire. In 1898, newly plastered station houses were built on two floors. In 1903, a half-bark was built. The freight traffic was reduced in , which is visible on the photo is SJ L29 1781, manufactured by Motala workshop in 1910, scrapped in 1967 in Vislanda. It is MoMULLOK with internal cylinders and 1400 mm. drive wheels. In the case of the first place, LITTER L9 was received and served, among other things, in Malmö. Scrapped in 1967 in Vislanda.
