Boehm House, built around 1750 in Historic Richmondtown, Staten Island, New York

The farmhouse was constructed in the Greenridge section of Staten island around 1750. Educator Henry Martin Boehm (1819–62) purchased the house in 1855. He lived here with his wife Rizpah (d. 1898). He later became School Commissioner. Part of the house was for a time used as a school. Following Boehm's death, his father, Henry Boehm (1775–1875), moved in with his widow and lived here until his death. The Boehm's daughter, educator Mary Boehm Fuestes, finally sold the house in 1933. It is an official New York City landmark.
