Elasmobranchs were collected at least monthly with two 90-m nylon gill nets that contained longitudinal sections of , , and stretch mesh, 30 m each. Mesh sizes smaller than stretch were not used in order to minimize the capture of large numbers of bony fishes. All gill net sets were on the bottom, km from the mouth of Elkhorn Slough (Figure 1)..
