March21, 1870, he was ordained to the officeof an Elder. He married Mary Hen-derson March 11, 1872, and was ordaineda Seventy and set apart as a presidentin the 64th quorum Jan. 7, 1884. During1x85-87 he filled a mission to Norway,whei-e he labored mostly in the Dram-inen branch, Christiania conference.
