Bernard Eschner was one of the bifj men in the Horal world, rainstakiii};, hardworking, blessed with good health, Mr. Eschner a' success in his chosen calliii},' and won the good will and afl'ectioiiate regard of a large circle of friends all over the country. He will be deejily monnied. Hernard Eschner was born in Bo- hemia and came to this country when only C months old. He was educated in Philadelphia and first went into the hosiery business with his brother. When 2;" years of age, he formed' a partnership with M. Hice. under the iirni name of M. Kice & Co., dealers in florists' sup]ilies. The firm consisted of M. Kice and li. Esclmer. Mr. Eschner traveled for the tirni, and to his sagac- ity and hard work mueh of the firm's success was due. For many years Mr. Eschner contin- ued his trips all over the country and was considered a sales manager of ex- traordinary ability. After Mr. Kice'3 death, the firm was changed to a com- pany, Mr. Eschner being elected presi- dent of the new M. Kice Co. Tnder his leadershiji, the handsome new building at 1220-1224 Spring Garden street was erected and filled with every modern appliance, expressly for
