Or, probably better, the insects can be bagged andallowed to die and dry within the bags and laid aside for winter use. Suchfeed for hens in winter appreciably increases egg production, not a small itemthese days. We have been able to secure an analysis of mature grasshoppers^through the kindness of Mr. E. G. Proulx, State Chemist of Indiana, with thefollowino- results. ^Melanoplus f
