"The crying eye" (El ojo que llora), by Lika Mutal, is a memorial to victims of terrorist violence and state repression during the internal armed conflict in Peru between 1980 and 2000. It is surrounded by a circular labyrinth of small stones in which the names of the victims are engraved along with their respective date of death or disappearance.
