Prince Alfons of Bavaria (1862 - 1933) - a carte-de-visite album The inscribed album has a total of 28 outstanding, detailed carte-de-visite pictures from the period 1881 - 83. With a handwritten addition inside (tr.) "Horses and carriages driven by HRH Prince Alfons of Bavaria" and the owner's inscription for Prince Ludwig Ferdinand of Bavaria. In a splendid leather binding with decorative gold stamped fleurs-de-lys. The centre bears the historical coat of arms of the Bavarian kings, rendered in colour beneath Prince Alfons´ crowned cipher.
