Marguerites njove moderately well, but calendulas, niyosotis, wallflowers and mignonette are quite druggy. Sales of both callas and lilies were slow last week. Some good locally grown valley is available, but sales are slow, while cat- tkyas continue plentiful and lower in price. Quantities of pot plants of splen- did quality are arriving. Especially fine are genistas, roses, hydrangeas, ericas, cinerarias and bulbous flowers. Complimentary Dinner. The New England Florists' Associa- tion gave a complimentary dinner, March 1, at the Parker House, to Thomas Roland, ])resident of the S. A. F. Over fifty gentlemen were present. The floral decorations were furnished by Henry Penn, Ilernuinn II. Bartsch and Harold W. Kyan, spring bulbous flowers pre- dominating. A communication was read from the Gaideners' ami Florists' Club regarding a complimentary dinner lo be given to the three local national presi- dents and a conimittee consisting of J. C. Gibbs, ir. H. Bartsch and H. A. Ryan was appointed to meet committees from other local organizations and make the necessary arrangements, if deemed de- sirable. Two new members were elected. It was voted to hold the regular meetings liereaftcr on the second, instead of tlic first Tuesday in the month. President B. F.
