A lion's head sabre with Damascus blade for officers, of the Saxon artillery Pipe-backed, forged Damascus blade with yelmen. Etched and gilt floral decoration at the base of the blade on both sides displaying the national coat of arms with the crowned cipher "AR", or "Eisenhauer" and "Damaststahl" respectively. Gold-plated knuckle-bow hilt with a lion head grip cap. The obverse languets bear crossed cannon barrels. Sharkskin grip with wire winding. Blued steel scabbard (lightly rusted).
